Who are Embark Spirit BSS?
In 2010 the Spirit Racing Team was born. The academy race team known for 2022 as Spirit BSS has steadily progressed and grown substantially in the subsequent years.
From 2014 TBW23 has been supporting U23 riders providing training, mentoring and support while racing in lots of countries across the world including Asia and Africa tour.
In 2017 Embark-Bikestrong Race team was born, from a group of coached riders into a team competing in the national series the past couple of years.
For 2023, we took the decision to merge the teams, to combine resources and combine our collective knowledge, experience and ambition.
We are firmly established as one of the strongest elite development teams in the UK and Europe. 2023 will be our (combined) third year as a British Cycling Elite Development Team.
We are well set to continue this upward trend in 2023 and we hope you enjoy supporting us along the road.
We have an extremely talented team with fifteen male elite riders along with support volunteers and helpers. We have a multi-time national champion and UCI Track Champions league winner as well as National Series winners from 2022 and very strong development riders looking to push on.
Our race calendar will be extremely strong and the best of any UK based team going forward incorporating UCI Europe Tour events and prestigious races with our friends at Cycling Ireland plus the UK National Series and CiCle Classic.
The projects key focus continues on developing riders in the sport of cycling and also mentoring, whilst providing the platform to compete in the UK's biggest races and the invites we receive in the UCI Europe, Asia, African Tours and Cycling Ireland. These will include the current UK National and U23 series. With our impressive race calendar, we will equip riders to race at all levels and give them the platform and shop window to be scouted. We have to move one or two onto the bigger Pro Continental teams in time, with the ultimate prize of gaining a World Tour contract or our model has failed.
As a Brand Ambassador for our sponsors and a solid base for up-and-coming future stars Embark Spirit BSS continues to surpass all our targets year on year with a smaller budget in comparison to our peers.
At the heart of our ethos is a strong work ethic, with the emphasis on team bonding, fun and development throughout the season. We win and will continue to exceed our expectations whilst growing as a formidable team with a model that ensures our future year on year.
With an eye to the future, we are investing in carbon capture projects and we will aim to be carbon-neutral in 2023. We are doing our best to record all our mileage, emissions & power consumption and working with new exciting partners to do our part to help stop climate change. We also aim to publish our data when available.
